This Privacy Policy explains how Tiler Quote ("we", "our", or "the App") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the Tiler Quote mobile application and the tilerquote.com website.

Tiler Quote is designed for tile calculation, quotations, invoices, PDF exports, project/site management, worker tracking, material tracking, client payment records, and related contractor tools.

By using the Tiler Quote app or website, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Enter in the App

When you use the Tiler Quote mobile app, you may enter information such as:

  • Client details, including names, phone numbers, site locations, and project descriptions.
  • Quotation and invoice data, including rooms, areas, tile sizes, material estimates, labour, accessories, discounts, taxes, totals, and notes.
  • Business or contractor information, such as business name, logo, email, phone number, address, trade, tax information, invoice terms, watermark text, and branding settings.
  • App settings, including theme, language, currency, unit preferences, watermark preferences, template choices, plan settings, and security options.
  • PDF and document records, such as invoice files, proforma files, reports, export history, and file names.

This information is used to provide the app features you choose to use and is stored primarily on your device unless you choose to back it up, export it, share it, or use cloud-connected features.

1.2 Site Manager and Project Records

If you use Site Manager or project tracking features, you may create records such as:

  • Project name, client name, client phone, site location, project status, project coverage, estimated duration, and project notes.
  • Client payment records, including amount, purpose, payment method, payer name, references, notes, and optional proof images.
  • Material purchase records, including item name, quantity, unit, price, supplier, reference, receipt image, material image, and notes.
  • Worker records, including worker name, phone number, role, pay type, agreed rate, subcontract details, status, attendance, payments, advances, loans, and balances.
  • Evidence report records, including generated PDF names, report numbers, summaries, and SHA-256 verification files.

These records are controlled by you. They are intended to help you manage your own projects, workers, payments, materials, and evidence. Tiler Quote does not verify the truth or legality of the project information you enter.

1.3 Photos, Receipts, and Evidence Files

Some features may allow you to attach photos or files, such as payment screenshots, material receipts, material photos, worker evidence, or site records. These files may be stored locally on your device and may be included in PDFs or reports that you choose to generate or share.

If a report creates a SHA-256 verification file, the hash is used to help detect whether a PDF or attached evidence file has changed after generation. A hash does not by itself prove that the original information is true; it only helps verify file integrity.

1.4 My Office and Business Profile Information

If you use My Office or profile tools, you may save information such as:

  • Business or contractor name.
  • Phone number, email address, location, and trade information.
  • Logo, watermark, invoice branding, payment details, terms, and document settings.
  • Office tools, reports, templates, or professional profile details where available.

This information is used to fill invoices, PDF reports, evidence reports, and other documents generated by the app.

1.5 Google Account Information Optional

If you choose to sign in with Google Sign-In in the app, we may receive:

  • Your name.
  • Your email address.
  • Your Google account ID, which is a unique identifier.
  • Your profile image, if provided by Google and used by the app.

This information is used for authentication, account identification, plan access, backups, and optional cloud features. Tiler Quote does not access your Gmail, contacts, calendar, or unrelated Google Drive files.

1.6 Google Drive Access Optional Backups

If you enable cloud backup/export, the app may request access to your Google Drive using the minimal scope: drive.file.

This means:

  • The app can create and manage only the files it creates or opens through the app in your Google Drive.
  • The app cannot browse, view, or manage all files in your Drive.
  • You may delete backup files at any time directly from your Google Drive account.
  • Backups are optional. You can use the app without enabling Google Drive backups.

1.7 Purchases, Subscriptions, and Plan Information

If you buy or subscribe to Pro, Premium, or other paid features through Google Play, purchase processing is handled by Google Play Billing. We may receive limited purchase or entitlement information needed to unlock features, such as plan type, subscription status, purchase token, product ID, and expiry or renewal status.

We do not receive your full payment card details from Google Play.

1.8 Ads and Rewarded Unlocks

If ads are enabled in the Basic plan, ad services such as AdMob or Google Ads may process advertising identifiers, device information, approximate location, and interaction data according to their own policies.

Rewarded ads may be used to temporarily unlock selected features. We may store local or server-side records showing that a feature was unlocked, when it expires, and whether the unlock was successful.

1.9 Device, Crash, Analytics, and App Performance Data

To improve stability and performance, we may collect limited technical data such as:

  • Device model and operating system version.
  • App version and build information.
  • Crash reports, diagnostic events, and error logs.
  • Feature usage events, such as opening a screen or generating a report.
  • Subscription or plan type, such as Basic, Pro, or Premium.

This information is used to diagnose bugs, improve reliability, understand app usage, and protect paid features.

1.10 Website Forms, Waitlist, and Subscribe Page

When you join a waitlist, subscribe for updates, or submit a form on tilerquote.com, we may collect:

  • Your email address.
  • Your name and phone number if you choose to provide them.
  • Technical information such as browser type, page URL, and referrer URL.
  • Marketing parameters such as utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, and utm_content if present in the page URL.

We may also use browser storage, such as localStorage, to remember whether you have already subscribed from a device so we can show a subscribed status without asking again. You can clear this from your browser settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide tile calculation, quotation, invoice, PDF, and report features.
  • Save your app data, settings, business profile, and document history.
  • Generate invoices, proforma documents, evidence reports, worker reports, and other PDFs when you request them.
  • Track Site Manager records such as projects, workers, attendance, payments, advances, materials, receipts, and balances.
  • Offer optional backups and sync using your own Google Drive account.
  • Authenticate your account when you sign in with Google.
  • Manage Pro, Premium, and other paid feature access.

3. Legal Basis

Depending on your location, we may rely on different legal bases to process your data, including:

  • Consent, when you sign in, enable backups, subscribe to updates, or attach/share files.
  • Contractual necessity, to provide the app features, subscriptions, and services you choose to use.
  • Legitimate interest, for app security, fraud prevention, crash diagnostics, analytics, and service improvement.
  • Legal obligation, where we must comply with applicable laws, tax rules, platform requirements, or valid legal requests.

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 Local Storage On Device

By default, your quotations, invoices, Site Manager records, project records, worker records, material records, settings, and business profile information are stored locally on your device in the app's private storage area. Other apps generally cannot directly read this private app data.

Removing the Tiler Quote app or clearing app data from your device may delete local data unless you have exported it or backed it up.

4.2 Cloud Storage and Backups

If you enable optional cloud backup, Tiler Quote may store selected files or records in your own Google Drive account or in cloud services used to provide account features. You remain responsible for managing exported files that you share or store outside the app.

4.3 PDF Exports and Shared Documents

When you export or share PDFs, reports, images, or backup files, they may leave the app's private storage and become available to the apps, people, or services you choose to share them with. Tiler Quote cannot control what happens to files after you share them outside the app.

4.4 Security Measures

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including:

  • Using secure communication such as HTTPS where applicable.
  • Using Google OAuth for Google Sign-In.
  • Using Android platform security features and private app storage.
  • Using feature entitlement checks for paid features.
  • Creating SHA-256 verification files for selected reports where available.

No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, but we aim to use reasonable industry-standard practices.

5. Third-Party Services

Tiler Quote may integrate with or rely on services such as:

  • Google Sign-In for optional authentication.
  • Google Drive for optional backups and file export using the drive.file scope.
  • Google Play Billing for in-app purchases and subscriptions.
  • Google Play Integrity or similar services for app and purchase protection where used.
  • AdMob / Google Ads for advertising and rewarded ads where enabled.
  • Firebase / Google Cloud for authentication, analytics, crash reporting, cloud storage, database, messaging, or website form storage where enabled.
  • Email or contact services used to respond to support requests or send product updates.

These services may collect and process data according to their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing Google's privacy policy and the policies of any third-party service you use with Tiler Quote.

6. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share limited information only in the following cases:

  • With service providers, such as Google services, strictly to operate the app, process payments, provide backups, analytics, crash reports, ads, or authentication.
  • When you choose to export, share, print, email, upload, or back up documents or reports.
  • When required by law, regulation, court order, or valid legal process.
  • To protect the rights, property, safety, or security of Tiler Quote, our users, or the public.

7. Retention

We retain your data for as long as needed to provide the services you use, or as required by law. For example:

  • On-device records remain until you delete them, clear app data, or uninstall the app.
  • Google Drive backup files remain until you delete them from your Drive.
  • Subscription and purchase entitlement records may be kept as needed to provide paid access and resolve billing issues.
  • Crash reports and analytics may be retained for diagnostic and improvement purposes.

  • Unsubscribe from email updates using the unsubscribe link or by contacting support.
  • Limit ad personalization through your device or Google account settings where available.

9. User Responsibility for Entered Records

Tiler Quote helps you create calculations, records, invoices, and reports. You are responsible for ensuring that the information you enter is accurate, lawful, and appropriate to store or share. This includes client details, worker details, payment records, receipt photos, material records, subcontract notes, and evidence reports.

Before sharing any report or PDF, review it carefully and make sure it does not include information you are not allowed to share.
