This Privacy Policy explains how Tiler Quote ("we", "our", or "the App") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the Tiler Quote mobile application and the tilerquote.com website.

By using the Tiler Quote app or website, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Enter in the App

When you use the Tiler Quote mobile app, you may enter:

  • Client details (names, phone numbers, project descriptions).
  • Quotation and invoice data (rooms, areas, tile sizes, materials, labour, accessories, totals).
  • Business information (business name, logo, email, address, tax information, watermark text).
  • App settings (theme, language, currency, unit preferences, watermark preferences, security options).

This information is stored primarily on your device and used only inside the Tiler Quote app, unless you choose to export or back it up.

1.2 Google Account Information (Optional)

If you choose to sign in with Google Sign-In in the app, we may receive:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your Google account ID (a unique identifier)

This information is used only for authentication, account identification, and optional cloud features. Tiler Quote does not access your contacts, Gmail, calendar, or other Google data.

1.3 Google Drive Access (Optional Backups)

If you enable cloud backup/export, the app may request access to your Google Drive using the minimal scope: drive.file.

This means:

  • The app can create and manage only the files it creates in your Google Drive.
  • The app cannot access or view other files or folders in your Drive.
  • You may delete these backup files at any time directly from your Google Drive account.

1.4 Device & App Performance Data

To improve stability and performance, we may collect limited technical data such as:

  • Device model and operating system version
  • App version and basic configuration
  • Anonymous crash reports and error logs
  • Subscription or plan type (e.g. Basic, Pro, Premium)

This information is generally non-personal and used in aggregate form to help us troubleshoot and improve the app.

1.5 Website Waitlist & Forms

When you join a waitlist or submit a form on tilerquote.com, we may collect:

  • Your email address (required) and name (optional).
  • Technical information such as browser type and referrer URL.
  • Marketing parameters (for example: utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content) if they are present in the page URL.

We may also use the browser’s localStorage to remember if you have already subscribed from a device, so we can show status such as “Subscribed” without asking again. You can clear this at any time using your browser settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide the quotation, calculation, and invoice features of the Tiler Quote app.
  • Save your app data, settings, and document history on your device.
  • Generate and export PDFs or other documents when you request it.
  • Offer optional backups and sync using your own Google Drive account.
  • Authenticate you when you sign in with Google and manage your access to cloud features.
  • Understand app performance and improve reliability.
  • Manage subscriptions and premium features.
  • Send important notices or product updates (for example, if you join a waitlist).

We do not sell your personal data. We do not rent your personal data to third parties.

3. Legal Basis

Depending on your location, we may rely on different legal bases to process your data, including:

  • Consent, when you join a waitlist, enable backups, or sign in with Google.
  • Legitimate interest, for improving and securing the app.
  • Contractual necessity, to provide the core features of the app you have chosen to use.

4. Data Storage & Security

4.1 Local Storage (On-Device)

By default, your quotation and invoice data is stored locally on your device in the app’s private storage area. Other apps cannot directly read this data. Removing the Tiler Quote app from your device will normally remove this local data.

4.2 Cloud Storage (Google Drive Backups)

If you enable cloud backup, Tiler Quote may store copies of your invoices or related files within a dedicated folder in your own Google Drive account. You are in full control of these files:

  • You may inspect, download, or delete them at any time from your Google Drive.
  • We do not have direct access to your Google Drive contents beyond the files created by the app.

4.3 Security Measures

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including:

  • Using secure communication (HTTPS) where applicable.
  • Relying on Google’s secure OAuth 2.0 for sign-in.
  • Respecting platform security guidelines for Android devices.

No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, but we aim to use industry-standard practices.

5. Third-Party Services

Tiler Quote may integrate with or rely on the following services:

  • Google Sign-In – for optional authentication.
  • Google Drive – for optional backups and file export using the drive.file scope.
  • Google Play Billing – for managing in-app purchases and subscriptions (e.g. Pro or Premium plans).
  • AdMob / Google Ads – for advertising in the Basic plan (if enabled).
  • Firebase / Google Cloud – for crash reporting, analytics, and/or waitlist storage on the website.

These services may collect additional data independently in accordance with their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing Google’s privacy policy and any third-party terms related to these services.

6. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share limited information only in the following cases:

  • With service providers (such as Google services) strictly to operate the app, process payments, or store backups securely.
  • When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, the public, or Tiler Quote.

7. Retention

We retain your data for as long as it is needed to provide the services you use, or as required by law. For example:

  • On-device data remains until you clear it or uninstall the app.
  • Google Drive backups remain until you delete them from your Drive.
  • Waitlist or newsletter emails remain until you unsubscribe or request deletion.

8. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights such as:

  • Accessing the personal data we hold about you.
  • Requesting correction of inaccurate data.
  • Requesting deletion of your data where applicable.
  • Withdrawing consent where processing is based on consent.

In practice, you can:

  • Disable cloud backup features at any time from within the app.
  • Delete backups directly from your Google Drive.
  • Clear app data from your device settings or uninstall the app.
  • Unsubscribe from email updates using the links in our emails or by contacting support.

9. Children’s Privacy

Tiler Quote is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app, the website, or applicable laws. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. In the case of significant changes, we may also display a notice in the app or on the website.
