The story behind Tiler Quote

From a simple Excel sheet in 2018 to a production Android app — built to help tile installers, contractors, and site managers calculate faster, quote clearly, invoice professionally, and keep better project records.

How it started

2018
The idea for Tiler Quote began on real job sites where tile quantities, cement bags, adhesive, grout, accessories, and labour were being calculated repeatedly. To save time and reduce mistakes, the first version was built in Excel.
2018–2024
The spreadsheet was refined through real use. It grew from simple tile coverage into a more practical quoting system with skirting, borders, accessories, labour options, and clearer client outputs.
2025
The project became a full Android app, bringing the quoting workflow to mobile: saved quotes, professional invoice PDFs, unit conversion, tile and mazeras support, profile settings, and optional cloud-connected tools.
Now
Tiler Quote has grown beyond quotation only. It now includes project/site management tools, worker tracking, material records, client payment summaries, evidence reports, PDF exports, My Office settings, and tools for contractors who want one organized place for their tiling business workflow.
