The story behind Tiler Quote and its founder

Tiler Quote was founded and developed by Daniel Ochieng Odhiambo under Ogutu Prime Tech. It grew from a practical Excel estimation tool created in 2018 into a production Android app that helps tile installers, contractors, and site managers calculate faster, quote clearly, invoice professionally, and keep better project records.

How it started

2018
The idea for Tiler Quote began on real job sites where tile quantities, cement bags, adhesive, grout, accessories, and labour were being calculated repeatedly. To save time and reduce mistakes, founder Daniel Ochieng Odhiambo built the first version in Excel.
2018–2024
The spreadsheet was refined through real construction work. It grew from simple tile coverage calculations into a practical quotation system with skirting, borders, accessories, labour options, prices, and clearer client documents.
2025
The project became a full Android application, bringing the quotation workflow to mobile with saved quotes, professional invoice PDFs, unit conversion, tile and mazeras support, profile settings, and optional cloud-connected tools.
Now
Tiler Quote has grown beyond quotation only. It now includes project and site management tools, worker tracking, material records, client payment summaries, evidence reports, PDF exports, My Office settings, and tools for contractors who want one organized place for their tiling business workflow.

Daniel Ochieng Odhiambo is the founder, creator, owner, and lead developer of Tiler Quote. The application is developed and published under Ogutu Prime Tech.

Daniel is a professional tile installer and software developer from Kenya. He created Tiler Quote after experiencing the daily challenges of calculating tile quantities, materials, labour, quotations, and project costs on real construction sites.

In 2018, Daniel built an Excel tool to speed up calculations and reduce costly mistakes. That practical tool later evolved into Tiler Quote, a complete Android application for tile installers, contractors, and site managers.
